Amnesty International, Winnipeg Group 19
A letter writing campaign on behalf of those who are suffering injustice, torture and facing the possibility of death. Amnesty can provide you with suggestions for the letters or you can attend an Amnesty Letter Writing Circle which gathers the first Tuesday of each month at 27 Dundurn St., Winnipeg from 7:00–9:00 p.m. Contact Tom Collings: tomjuliemts.net.
Diocese of Rupert's Land Central Buganda Orphan Fund
Committed to helping children orphaned by HIV/AIDS, civil war, malaria. $100 will feed and educate a primary school student for an entire year. $300 will provide for a secondary school student. Gift cards are available. Contact 204-482-4697 or 204-487-7234.

Thelma Wynn Project
Works out of St. Matthew Maryland. Three times a week individuals gather at the church to prepare baby layettes for distribution to several Winnipeg agencies. Contact Judy Leach, 204-774-1864. Go to Outreach Ministries.
Caring for Released Prisoners
Congregations can provide release kits, delivery of release kits, drivers to take individuals for job interviews etc. People with skills in anger management, literacy, financial management are needed. Congregations can form support groups. Especially needed are jobs for released prisoners. For information contact Tom Collings tomjulie@mts.net.
St. Barnabas, Winnipeg — Winnipeg Harvest
Every second week St. Barnabas facilitates the largest Winnipeg Harvest food bank in the city. Volunteers are needed to help unload the Harbest truck around 11:30 a.m. every other Friday and volunteers are needed to help set up and distribute the food on the Saturday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Contact 204-589-3235.

Ongoing support group for caregivers who are feeling stress. the group meets on alternate Saturdays at St. George's Anglican Church, 168 Wilton St., Winnipeg. New participants are welcome. Contact Syva-Lee at 204-452-9491.
