The Community Ministry seeks to be a witness to the power of God’s transforming love in the inner city by:
- a twice-weekly Food Supplement Program distributing food from Winnipeg Harvest
- an Artists Circle encouraging members to explore their creative side
- seasonal celebrations
- a summer program built around community gardens
West Central Community Program
One of the programs living along side the Community Ministry in the lower level of St. Matthew’s Church, in what is referred to as the Neighbourhood Resource Centre, is the West Central Community Program. It offers programming focused on the needs of school-age children. The staff provides programs mainly after school and during the summer months, both in the local schools as well as in the Neighbourhood Resource Centre.
