The Diocese of Rupert’s Land, as a Sponsorship Agreement Holder with the Federal Government, engages in the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) Programme. We sponsor refugees from around the world for resettlement in communities within the Diocese.
We open the door to provide opportunities for refugee-newcomers to Heal, Learn, Work, and Thrive.
Refugee Week June 20 – 26 is a UK-wide festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.
The theme of Refugee Week 2022 is ‘Healing’: celebrating community, mutual care, and the human ability to start again.
We All Have the Right to be Safe
We believe that everyone deserves a home and has the right to seek safety for themselves and their families.
There is a Bigger Us
We are not the same. Our experiences are different and we do not have equal access to resources and power. But we are also interconnected and interdependent: part of a ‘bigger us’. We believe that the safety of each of us matters to all of us, and strive to come together around shared values of fairness, mutual support, kindness and respect for universal rights.
Please support refugees and this ministry by sending donations to the Diocese of Rupert's Land indicating Refugee Fund in the Memo line.
